Is The Nintendo Switch OLED Model Worth It?

Is The Nintendo Switch OLED Model Worth It? Current owners of the Nintendo Switch console may have a dilemma. The Nintendo Switch OLED model is releasing on October 8, 2021. The term “OLED” means organic light-emitting diode. Unlike LCD displays, an OLED display doesn’t require a backlight. So colors are richer, and blacks are pure and deep.

Now, I own a Nintendo Switch and I love the console. The idea of a console that can also become portable was a genius idea on Nintendo’s part. I’m so guilty of spending hours on my favorite Switch games. There was also a recent rumor that Nintendo was going to release a Nintendo Switch Pro with 4K graphics. Nintendo has since debunked the rumor.

And…What About Those Rumors…

alt="is the nintendo switch oled model worth it"/>

Well, if you’re wondering if the Nintendo Switch OLED model is worth it, then you should ask yourself a few questions. How often do you play your Switch? And, do you primarily play your Switch on the television, or by handheld? Once you can answer those questions then your choice becomes clear.

The reason why is that the Nintendo Switch OLED is only usable while playing games in handheld mode. If you’re like me and spend most of your playtime on the television, then a Nintendo Switch OLED model isn’t worth it. But, if you enjoy taking your Switch with you on the go, then you might want to snag a Nintendo Switch OLED model.

Also, if the recent rumors about the Nintendo Switch Pro 4K are any indication, I’d wonder if Nintendo is currently working on the successor to the Switch. It’s no secret that the Nintendo Switch has halfway through its life cycle. So, although a Nintendo Switch Pro 4K isn’t true, that doesn’t mean that Nintendo doesn’t have something else up its sleeve.

Either way, if you’re feeling like upgrading to a Nintendo Switch OLED model is in the cards for you, then don’t forget to pre-order one by October 8th. We’re still dealing with product shortages due to the pandemic, so if you’re trying to get a Switch, especially for the holiday season, then you want to be sure to pre-order your Nintendo Switch OLED model as soon as possible!

Are you trying to snag the best Nintendo Switch games for the holidays? Then check out the best games for the Nintendo Switch. My favorite switch games are currently Animal Crossing: New Horizons and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild which are both available on Amazon.com.

It’s advisable to do your holiday shopping early this year because of all the shortages due to the pandemic. If you’re searching for the best gifts for gamers, then you’ll want to be sure to shop early, because a lot of electronics and their parts are hard to come by.

Lastly, the Tokyo Game Show 2021 is currently underway. Hopefully, we’ll get some exciting gaming news this weekend.

Thanks for hanging out with me.

May you ever walk in the light of the crystal,
