Returning heroes can appreciate an ode to Burning Crusade Classic and raise their mugs. Blizzard Entertainment released a fun advertisement today because the Burning Crusade Classic is releasing on June 1st. You’re certainly not prepared to take a journey through this Dark Portal, because the video is hilarious. Currently, Classic WoW is in the midst of the prepatch for Burning Crusade Classic.
If you didn’t level a character high enough within Classic WoW there will be boosts available. The use of any form of boosting or microtransactions causes controversy in the Classic community. The #nochanges isn’t completely being honored. Nevertheless, reentering the Dark Portal for the first time in 14 years is exciting. Especially if you missed the Burning Crusade when it originally launched.
The pre-expansion patch includes all of Burning Crusade’s core systems. So you can make a Blood Elf or Draenei character. Also, for a limited time, all players can take part in the pre-launch event. The event includes the Battle for the Dark Portal and unleashes Highlord Kruul and a host of demonic invaders upon Azeroth.

Burning Crusade Classic Pre-Expansion Event
If you haven’t checked out the pre-patch yet here’s what you’re missing. WoW Classic players can make a choice whether to progress into Burning Crusade Classic or to continue their adventures in the Classic Era. New playable races included the Blood Elves and Draenei in their respective starter zones.
Jewelcrafting is introduced as a new profession and can be leveled up to 300. New talent systems are available. So be sure to explore changes made to your characters’ talent trees. Trying out new builds and abilities can spice up your gameplay.
Digital bundles and optional services are available. These include the Dark Portal pass which players can use to boost a character of their choice to level 58. It’s limited to one per account and Blood Elves and Draenei are excluded. The Dark Portal pass is only valid on Burning Crusade Classic realms.
The Dark Portal pass also features a deluxe edition. Included within the deluxe edition are 30 days of game time, a Reawakened Phase-Hunter mount for Burning Crusade Classic, and higher-fidelity Viridian Phase-Hunter for modern WoW players, a Dark Portal Hearthstone, and Path of Illidan toy.
A character cloning service is also available. The service is optional and allows people to play a copy of an existing WoW Classic character on both a Burning Crusade Classic server and a Classic Era server.
