New World of Warcraft charity pet program now live. Players who’d wish to make a difference can now help with the COVID-19 pandemic. WoW players can visit the donation page to directly support the medical and humanitarian efforts of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). Doctors Without Borders is Blizzard Entertainment’s 2021 WoW® Charity Pet Program featured charity.
Every donation made between today and April 26 (or upon the program’s final stretch goal is reached) contributes to the MSF COVID-19 Crisis Fund. The fund supports the organization’s global response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences. Support is offered to authorities who care for COVID-19 patients in over 70 countries. Their goal is to protect people who are vulnerable and at risk, and to help keep essential medical services running.
As a thank you to all World of Warcraft players (excluding World of Warcraft Classic and Burning Crusade Classic), the initiative will unlock up to two adorable in-game pets which will be based on the two donation goals for the program.
The first goal of $500,000 unlocks Bananas, the Monkey. Also, the Strech Goal of $1 million USD unlocks Daisy, the Sloth. Also, Twitch streamers can use a special plug-in, available via DonorDrive, to track their own community’s contributions.

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an independent international medical humanitarian organization. They deliver emergency aid to people affected by epidemics, armed conflict, natural and human-made disasters, and exclusion from health care in more than 70 countries.
Their teams provide lifesaving medical assistance to people who need it most, regardless of race, religion, or political affiliation. The New World of Warcraft charity pet program will help save millions of lives.
The COVID-19 Crisis Fund aims to raise urgently needed money for MSF’s emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences. Thanks to the fund, supporters are also able to designate their donations as contributions restricted specifically towards the global effort. Money raised through the fund will support MSF’s COVID-19 response worldwide. Their response includes program costs related to treating people with COVID-19.

How Will The Funds Be Used?
The majority of the funds will go towards much-needed supplies for patients and staff. These supplies such as oxygen for patients and protective equipment for staff are vital.
Also, funds will be used to create isolation zones in MSF and non-MSF health structures like clinics and hospitals. Staff training on how to handle and treat people with COVID-19 is also included. Lastly, funds will be used to implement infection prevention and control measures. These measures include triage and patient referral and more.
Help MSF’s reach their objectives and work toward earning the new World of Warcraft charity pet. MSF’s objectives to the COVID-19 response include:
- Stop, slow down, or delay transmission of the virus
- Provide care for patients (particularly the seriously ill)
- Minimize the impact on health systems and communities
- Spread information on infection prevention measures and risks
- Enhance water, hygiene, and sanitation supplies and activities
- Provide palliative care for the most seriously ill patients in contexts with limited resources

- Navigate to theMSF DonorDrive site and select the “Donate To This Event” button at the top of the page.
- Fill in your Donation Amount and select your currency type from the drop down next to it.
- For USD only—Choose PayPal, Amazon Pay, or credit card as payment method.
- For all other currencies click “Next” and enter credit card billing and payment information.
- Click “Pay” to process your donation.
