 What Is a Server Blade?

A blade server is where World of Warcraft realms are hosted. Blizzard uses an HP BladeSystem, which combines server, storage, network, power, and management capabilities into an integrated system. These blades provided the processing power and hardware to run the game from 2010-2016. You won’t be able to purchase a specific server because of advancements in technology. Many realms are held on the same server today, which is different than the original blade servers which housed Vanilla, the Burning Crusade, and the Wrath of the Lich King expansions. Each blade server has a decorated plexiglass cover and a World of Warcraft 15th Anniversary plaque.

The Blade server isn’t functional and contains no data. So you can forget about running any illegal World of Warcraft realms at home. You will need to pay for shipping costs. If you order a blade server it may take up to 12-15 weeks to receive it in the mail. The blade server should come in an awesome 15th-anniversary custom packaging and a brown box with foam to protect it during shipping. Be sure to contact customer support if you run into any problems with your order.
