Blizzard will be offering a WoW Classic free character move service. The free character moves will be available in the coming days. Players on high or full populated servers can move to a lower populated server. Blizzard is hoping this will cut down on a log in queues. The option to move will pop up either on the character select screen or the queue screen. You’re unable to change realms if you’re a guild leader, have active auctions or bids, or if you have mail. Here’s a list of realms available for the free transfer.
This is welcome news since some realms have seen hours-long queues. The popularity of WoW Classic is a great thing for Blizzard and the community, but this will alleviate some of the stress on the more popular realms. It’s a good idea to talk to your friends and decide if you’d like to take advantage of the WoW Classic free character move service to change servers. Each server has its own community and it’s difficult to let go once you’re established.

World of Warcraft Shattering Records
World of Warcraft broke a record the week of August 26th – September 1st, by being the most-watched title on Twitch in the past two years. More than 45 million viewers watched Classic over the week. It beat out other popular games like Fortnite and Counter-Strike – Global Offensive. WoW also managed to break another record, because it’s only one of four titles to surpass 30 million hours watched. Warcraft clocked in a whopping 55 million hours. The other three games to break the 30 million mark are Fortnite, Dota 2, and Apex Legends.
Many Twitch streamers have switched over to WoW Classic. Viewers were glued to their screens as they watched Jokerd become the first level 60. A European guild called APES was also the first guild to beat Ragnaros in Molten Core. APES also defeated the black dragon Onxyia in Onyxia’s Lair. They’re playing on the WoW Classic EU server Gehennas.
