EDIT: WoW Classic Name Reservations open today, August 12, 2019. Blizzard posted on their forums this morning to remind us that all players with game time or an active game subscription can create up to three characters. WoW Classic releases worldwide on Monday, August 26th at 3 PM PDT.

Hi guys! Blizzard posted on the forums yesterday. The WoW Classic name reservations open next week on August 12 at 22:00 GMT/ August 13  at 00:00 CEST.

As long as you have an active game subscription or game time you can reserve your character name. You’ll be able to create three characters per WoW account.

Blizzard said they will release the realm information at a later time. So if you’d like to coordinate with your friends on what realm to play on stay tuned. They also said that PvP servers will only allow one faction per realm to be played.

According to Blizzard, our accounts can have a maximum of 10 characters per WoW Classic realm, and we can have a maximum of 50 characters across all WoW Classic realms in your region. There is also no overlap with retail WoW, so you can have 50 characters in Battle for Azeroth and 50 characters in Classic WoW.
