Then during the week, Wowhead began datamining the alpha build. We received juicy information some of which included new mounts and new models for existing characters. The WoW community waited patiently for the alpha to be available so we could watch our favorite streamers try the new content. Yesterday, the alpha finally opened and we were able to get an in-depth look at Bastion.
During the afternoon, Hazzikostas surprised fans by interviewing with Twitch streamer Sloot. The interview was great and Sloot asked Hazzikostas good questions. Hazzikostas touched upon the covenant and player choice controversy, GCD (global cooldown) concerns, tier sets, and changes to RNG (random number generator). Sloot did an amazing job asking Hazzikostas questions the fans have been wondering for a while.

World Of Warcraft Shadowlands Alpha New Content And Interview
Let’s begin with WoW Game Director Ion Hazzikostas’s developer update. Earlier this week he posted his update on the official website. His note not only mentioned that the alpha would be coming this week, but that we could expect new class changes. Classes were going to be ‘unpruned’ which meant we were going to see old abilities return.
Hazzikostas also mentioned the return of conquest points as a PvP currency in Shadowlands. Players will be able to use conquest points to purchase PvP gear from vendors in the city of Oribos. He also discussed a new questing interface. The new 3-D quest indicator is a work in progress and will lower the need to open the map, as it will show you if a quest objective is in front of you.
The game director also stressed that Shadowlands is focused on ‘player agency and empowering choice.’ He was aware that data mining this week would unearth information on Soulbinds, Covenant Sanctums, and crafted Legendary Items. Hazzikostas urged fans to remember that everything was still a work in progress and that the WoW development team had learned from past mistakes. So they are seeking feedback from the community during the alpha and beta process.

Wowhead got to work on datamining the alpha right away. They discovered a treasure trove of goodies related to the World of Warcraft Shadowlands alpha new content. Fans can expect new mounts, pets, and models for popular characters. Hunters will be getting significantly more stable slots. I main a Hunter so this news is exciting for me. Hopefully, this means Hunters can tame more spirit beasts in the Shadowlands.
Death Knights, Demon Hunters, and Allied Races will start Shadowlands at level 10. All new players will begin the game in Exile’s Reach. The new starter zone should be faster and easier to understand for newbies. Veteran players can choose between Exile’s Reach or the normal starting zone experiences.
Players will now have new customization options to choose from in Shadowlands. Characters can have darker skin tones, makeup, and new hair options. There will also be changes to which classes can use one-handed, two-handed, or dual-wield weapons. All of this is part of Blizzard’s effort to unpruned the classes and return a sense of class identity.
There were also spoilers featuring story scenarios for Tyrande and broadcast text for Voljin. Allied races will no longer require a reputation to be unlocked. Each covenant features a cloak transmog, and you’re also able to view the Oribos and Bastion armor sets. There are also epic weapons to check out in the data mine. World of Warcraft Game Director Ion Hazzikostas was interviewed by Twitch streamer Slootduring his Shadowlands alpha stream on April 9, 2020. During the hourlong interview, Hazzikostas answered questions about the GCD (global cooldown), tier sets, RNG, and more. Regarding the GCD, Hazzikostas said that the development team wants WoW gameplay to focus more on skill rather than a twitch reaction. Sloot voiced concern that players have the skills but, the GCD is preventing us from using an ability we know comes next. But, Sloot understood Hazzikostas’s answer and moved on to the next topic.
Hazzikostas said that tier sets may be making a comeback, but that we need to see “how they translate to the modern era.” The game director also said that Shadowlands will be more alt friendly to players. He was aware that BFA was grindy especially when it came to essences, and he said the team is trying to make sure that Shadowlands will be more fun.
“Shadowlands will have no long-tail grind and should be significantly alt friendly,” Hazzikostas said.
There will also be a counterbalance coming to the game for RNG. So if you run your usual mythic run per week you’ll be able to choose an item. Hazzikostas also talked about loot changes in general.
“Our plan for Shadowlands is to take a step back and to produce the amount of loot that drops. Just let loot be loot. We aren’t planning warforging, titanforging, no avoidance, or anything. Let loot be loot,” Hazzikostas said.
When asked about covenants, Hazzikostas said they’ve been a hot topic at Blizzard headquarters. Covenants have also been a controversial topic among the fans. He said they see them as a gameplay mainstay and that down the road they hope that there will be enough knobs and tolls to balance the differences in the long run.
What the team has learned from Classic WoW
Hazzikostas also said that what the development team has learned from Classic WoW is about the social aspect. They want WoW to be a place where you can make friends.
In regards to world quests, they will be a thing but there won’t be any emissaries. They’re going to replace those with callings from your covenants. So world quests have been remixed and reimagined. Hazzikostas said they’ll have a little more to talk about in a few weeks.

The World Of Warcraft Shadowlands alpha new content may have just dropped but we can expect more soon. Hazzikostas said the development team wants to release Revendreth and Torghast by the end of April. Also, this is only the first round of alpha invites.

The hype train is finally here and the WoW community can take a glance at what the next expansion has to offer. In Shadowlands, players will venture to the realm of death. The eighth expansion was announced at BlizzCon 2019.
Alpha testing will be limited to a select few. Blizzard friends and family, content creators, and journalists will be included. A small selection of long-time WoW players will also be included in the testing. Although most fans won’t have access to the alpha, you can sign-up for the Shadowlands beta by opting-in on the official website. Beta invites are chosen at random, but by signing up you’ve entered the pool of potential candidates. The testing phase gives fans a chance to voice opinions before the expansion drops.
World of Warcraft Game Director Ion Hazzikostas mentioned all of this in a developer update on the official website. Alpha testers will have the full level-up experience in the zone of Bastion. They’ll also be able to test the zone’s dungeon Necrotic Wake. World of Warcraft will have a revamped player experience, and testers can try it out in the Alliance version of the new zone. The WoW development team is hoping to have the zone of Revendreth and the neverending dungeon, Torghast, tower of the damned, available for testing by the end of April.

World Of Warcraft Shadowlands Alpha Invites Coming This Week
The first thing players will notice in alpha testing is class changes. All 12 classes in the game are receiving updates to the spellbooks and talents. Some classes will see a change in their resources. The team is seeking feedback on the ‘unpruning’ of classes. Some players feel that their playable characters aren’t as fun to play as they once were.
Testers in the World Of Warcraft Shadowlands alpha can also expect to see changes to questing. The quest interface will help players better distinguish between side quests and main story quests. A new 3D indicator of tracked quest objectives and locations will be testable. The indicator won’t require you to open the map to see where a quest is located. It’ll also give players notice when a quest is above or below them.
There will also be changes to PvP currency. Conquest points are returning. You can redeem the points in the city of Oribos. The points can also upgrade gear. Oribos is going to be the new player hub in Shadowlands. The city will function in a similar fashion to Shattrath and Dalaran.

World Of Warcraft Shadowlands Alpha is only entering the first phase of testing. While the game is in development things may change. If you’re new to the MMORPG genre of games you’ll need help to level. Leveling on the PlayStation or Xbox consoles usually requires you to attack enemies. Games like World of Warcraft are different. Your goal is to quest. So you’ll want to find a quest hub. The quickest way to do this is to check the Command Board located in your factions major cities. These boards will have a quest that will send you to a new zone. Be sure to pick up all of the quests from a town, an encampment, or area before you head out. Quest givers have a yellow exclamation mark floating over their heads. When you complete a quest the exclamation changes into a yellow question mark. Often all of the quests are going to send you to the same place so you might as well grab them all.

How to level fast in WoW is subjective. Not every player has access to the same resources. The first few tips are things all players can do regardless of how long you’ve been playing the game. Some methods may require gold or larger time investment. Don’t worry about trying to do strategies that don’t fit your play style. World of Warcraft should be fun to play and not feel like a chore.
Rested Bonus – Logging off in a city, inn, or your garrison provides your character with a rested bonus. When your character is resting they will have three ZZZ’s underneath their portrait. You accumulate a more rested bonus the longer you rest. The experience bar at the bottom of your screen turns blue when you’re well-rested. Each blue bubble on the bar represents how much of the bonus you’ve earned. So for every eight hours you’ve spent logged out of the game, you’ll gain about five percent of your current level. It’s possible to gain a maximum of 30 bubbles which equals 150 percent of your current level.
War Mode – Turning on War Mode in Stormwind or Orgrimmar gives you a 10 percent experience buff. The downside to this decision is that you’re marked as PvP. This means that other players can attack you in the game world, and War Mode can only be turned off within Stormwind, Orgrimmar or an inn.

Riding the carousel or the roller coaster will grant you the Whee!buff. The buff will give you a 10 percent experience boost for one hour.
Darkmoon Faire Cont. – You could also earn Darkmoon Prize Ticketsfrom playing games at the fair and purchase yourself Darkmoon Top Hats. The top hats also grant you a 10 percent experience buff for one hour, but the hat is only usable during the fair.
Darkmoon Faire Conclusion – You can buy the Faded Treasure Map from Galissa Sundew to start the one-time-only quest Silas’ Secret Stash. The map costs 100 Darkmoon Daggermaw and they can be fished up in the waters around the island. The treasure map sends you on a treasure hunt. Once you complete the hunt you’ll gain 100 Darkmoon Prize Tickets. These can be used to purchase various prizes which include Heirloom Gear which will be explained in more detail below.

The holidays that don’t provide you with an experience buff will give you other perks. So you can expect a temporary boost to your stats or reputation gains.
Holidays Which Provide An Experience Buff
Midsummer Fire Festival– The Ribbon Dance buff grants you a 10 percent experience gain for one hour. You get this temporary boost by having your character grab the fiery ribbon on the pole and twirl. The longer your twirl than the longer the buff will last.
Hallow’s End – The Hallow’s End festivities align with Halloween in the real world. To gain the Unburdened (Alliance)/Grim Visage (Horde) experience buff, you need to honor the Wickerman’s flame.
WoW Anniversary – World of Warcraft’s anniversary is always celebrated in November. Usually, players are given a present in the in-game mail. There may be an experience buff provided as a gift for the event.

These battles are similar to a Pokémon style where you battle other players’ pets and animals in the game world. It takes approximately four pet battles to get a pet to level ten. Once you level your pet to level ten then your character should begin earning between 800 to 1000 experience per battle. Try wearing heirloom gear and turning on War Mode when you engage in pet battles. These experience boosts should stack and help you level faster.
Battle Standard of Coordination – If you’re in a guild then you can visit a guild vendor and purchase a standard. The Battle Standard of Coordination (Alliance)/Battle Standard of Coordination (Horde) can be bought once you’re friendly with your guild. There are three standards you can obtain which are available to both Horde and Alliance. The other two standards include the Banner of Cooperation (5 percent experience boost) and the Standard of Unity (10 percent experience boost) but the Battle Standard of Coordination is the best because it provides a 15 percent boost to experience.

World of Warcraft is more fun with friends. So it makes perfect sense that recruiting friends would grant you both bonuses. One of the many rewards for inviting a friend to WoW is for the experience. When you and your friend are in the same party you can earn a 50 percent experience buff. The buff doesn’t stack with heirlooms and rested experience.
More Unique Ways To Gain Bonus Experience
What’s the fastest way to level in WoW? Now that we’ve discussed the easiest ways to gain more experience, let’s talk about more challenging ones. Obtaining the items could prove difficult because of cost or supplies. Certain benefits may only work in different level brackets. For example, an elixir may only work for levels 90 – 100.
Draught of Ten Lands – The Draught of Ten Lands is a potion that increases your experience gained by 10 percent for one hour. To obtain this potion you’ll need to grind service medals. Service medals are earned by doing the Warfront quests, faction assaults, and opening paragon caches. Alliance can buy the draught in Boralas from Provisioner Stoutforge, and Horde can purchase the draught from Provisioner Mukra in Dazar’alor.
Insightful Rubellite – The Insightful Rubellite may not be the fastest way to level in WoW, but it’ll help. To utilize this gem you’ll need to have a Jewelcrafter craft one of four rings: Kubiline Ring, Solstone Ring, Kyanite Ring, and Golden Beryl Ring. Be sure to place the gem inside of the prismatic socket for a five percent experience boost. The gem requires you to have an item level of 200.
Elixir of the Rapid Mind – The Elixir of the Rapid Mind increases your experience by 300 percent for 15 minutes. To obtain this elixir you’ll have to find it on the Black Market Auction House inside of a Savage Gift. The elixir will only work until level 99. Horde players can access the Black Market by visiting Madam Goya in Dazar’alor at the Tortolloan Refuge. Alliance players can visit Madam Gosu in Boralus at Hook Point. You can also obtain an Encrypted Black Market Radio from Mechagon Island.
Excess Potion of Accelerated Learning – Next in the fastest ways to level in WoW is the excess potion of accelerated learning. The potion will increase your experience gain by 20 percent for one hour. You can only use the potion below level 99. Your garrison quartermaster is where you can purchase this potion and it costs 100 garrison resources. The potion stacks with the Draught of Ten Lands which means you increase your experience by 30 percent for one hour.

In order for another character to use the essence, they must first obtain the currency. They need 500 Echoes of Ny’alotha to buy a rank 3 essence.

The Difference Between G-SYNC And FreeSync
When searching for the best gaming monitor for World of Warcraft you’ll want to consider G-Sync or FreeSync. These two options are similar in that they help to prevent tearing and stuttering on the screen.
G-Sync is created by NVIDIA and monitors with it work best with an NVIDIAgraphics card. They’re able to produce a wider dynamic range starting at 30Hz up until the displays maximum rate. FreeSync is created by AMD and uses the Adaptive-Sync technology built into the display port 1.2a specification. They don’t offer a dynamic range as wide and usually offer between 40Hz – 144Hz.
One major difference is how they handle graphics cards that produce higher framerates than a monitor can handle. G-Sync frames are locked to the upper limit of the monitor, whereas FreeSync allows the graphic card to produce a higher frame rate. Using G-Sync or FreeSync is better than V-Sync which can cause tearing in games.
In order to utilize G-Sync or FreeSync, you’ll need to have a DisplayPorts on your monitor and GPU. You’ll also need DisplayPort cables to connect them. DisplayPort is similar to HDMI but it’s more commonly used on PCs rather than televisions. FreeSync is easier to install if you’re looking to upgrade because you don’t need specific hardware to use it. It only requires compliance with the latest DisplayPort standards to function. G-Sync is more costly to install because you need dedicated hardware within the display for it to work.
How Important Is Monitor Size And Response Time?
The best gaming monitor for World of Warcraft will probably be about 27 inches. This is the average monitor size that most gamers consider to be comfortable. Ultrawide monitors can be really nice if they’re curved as it provides a panoramic view. Not all games support an ultrawide format. The aspect ratio of an ultrawide monitor is 21:9, but a widescreen format is 16:9.
Response time is how fast pixels change from black to white. This determines how clear and accurate a moving object is shown. If a monitor’s response time is too high it will have more trouble accurately depicting fast-moving objects. High response time can result in motion blur. If you’re prone to motion sickness than this may become a problem for you. TN panels offer the lowest response times at 1ms, but IPS panels offer the second-lowest at 4ms. The average gamer may not be able to tell a difference. For the best gaming experience, you want a response time lower than 3-4ms.
What About The Resolution And Refresh Rate?
1080p is the most common resolution for a monitor. It’s clear and affordable and you can’t go wrong with the quality. If you’re looking for something sharper that won’t break the bank then you can consider a 1440p resolution. A 1440p resolution is called QUAD HD and grants you a good cost-effective alternative between the average 1080p resolution and the more expensive 2160p graphics. A 2160p resolution is actual 4k graphics and it’s currently the highest that’s available on the market. Not all monitors can produce a refresh rate higher than 60Hz though, so buying a monitor with 4k graphics isn’t always worth the price.
The refresh rate means the number of times per second a display refreshes an image. It’s measured in hertz (Hz). So the higher the number than the more times per second your monitor refreshes. This means more information reaches your eyes faster which results in smoother motion. Getting a monitor with a high refresh rate doesn’t mean you’ll get a smoother image. You still must factor in the frame rate of a program or game too. The frame rate is the number of video frames sent to the display per second. Refresh rates don’t matter for movies but they do matter for games since they create the data sent from your screen to your graphics card. Video games can be played at 100 fps or above. You monitor should be at least 120Hz so that your games will be sharp and smooth.
LCD Or LED Screen: Which Is Better?
When choosing the best gaming monitor for World of Warcraft you can pick between LCD or LED screens. It’s important to understand that all LED monitors are technically LCD monitors, but not all LCD monitors are LEDs. Both displays use liquid crystals to create images. Their differences emerge in their backlighting. LED monitors have better picture quality and will use light-emitting diodes as backlights, whereas an LCD monitor uses fluorescent backlights.
LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Displays and is used in smartwatches, laptops, and everyday objects. The reason LCD screens are widely used is that they are practical. LCD screens are thinner and don’t use as much energy. They produce light by using a cold-cathode fluorescent lamp. The lamp has a series of tubes laid behind the screen that illuminates it from one light source.

Some players are more sensitive to bright colors. Usually, you won’t notice much of a difference and your choice will most likely come down to other factors like panel type, monitor size, refresh rate, etc.

Shadowlands Beta Opt-In will feature new zones. Each zone has it’s own theme. Ardenweald has the Night Fae and is connected to the Emerald Dream. In Bastion, the Kyrians are connected to the Valkyr and Spirit Healers. Heroes like Uther the Lightbringer can be found here. The gothic-inspired zone of Revendreth is where all the prideful spirits go. Here you’ll find vampiric like beings called the Venthyr. The zone of Maldraxxus is where dark beings like Necromancers get their power. Maldraxxus is also where the Lich King draws his power from.
World Of Warcraft Shadowlands Beta-Opt In
Why you should be excited about the beta
Battle for Azeroth wasn’t WoW’s best expansion. Shadowlands Beta Opt-In is exciting. The Shadowlands beta will be getting a lot of buzz within the coming months. Opting in to the beta doesn’t guarantee you a spot, but it doesn’t hurt to opt-in anyway.
When Sylvanas tore apart the Lich King’s helm she opened a gateway. Icecrown Citadel isn’t just where the Lich King hangs out. Apparently, Icecrown is also a door into the Realm of Death. The Shadowlands expansion will answer questions fans have had for years. We’ll finally know the origin of the Spirit Healers, and also receive answers about Bwonsamdi’s boss.
Since BFA ended with the void theme maybe Shadowlands is connected to the Void Lords. World of Warcraft has an intricate cosmology. The forces of light and darkness aren’t the only ones. Shadowlands could also provide us with a chance to see old favorites again. Warcraft lore has tons of heroes and villains that have died throughout the story. Hopefully, we’ll get the chance to meet them again.

World of Warcraft Patch 8.3 has been out for five weeks. The patch introduced corrupted gear and Horrific Visions. The Horrific Visions offer a good challenge for players. Each vision has a boss and bonus objectives. The goal is to defeat the boss or complete the objectives before your insanity gets too high. Patch 8.3 also introduced Ny’alotha. Players can visit Ny’alotha as a raid. The ancient city is apart of N’Zoth’s Black Empire. It’s a fun and challenging twelve boss raid.
Patch 8.3 does have it’s share of problems. The final patch of Battle for Azeroth is grindy. Horrific Visions provide a good challenge, but the grind to obtain Corrupted Mementos isn’t fun. Also, patch 8.3 introduced new essences for our Heart of Azeroth. Essences aren’t account-wide and can take time to earn. So many players feel the patch isn’t Alt friendly.
Let’s examine more of patch 8.3.

World of Warcraft Patch 8.3 Review
Revisiting Old Zones
We’re revisiting old zones in this patch. The Vale of Eternal Blossoms and Uldum are under assault from N’Zoth’s minions. Venturing to old zones is good because it makes the game feel larger and more connected. The problem is that the dailies in these zones are boring. To partake in Horrific Visions, players must earn Corrupted Mementos from daily quests. These can be used to purchase Vessels of Horrific Visions from Wrathion.
Blizzard did a great job of utilizing old zones for the current plot. Azeroth is a large and fascinating world. The company should use old zones and new zones together to tell a compelling story, but the content must be engaging. It’s always interesting to see how old zones have changed over time. Since Azeroth is a neverending world it’s fun to speculate about previous areas and how they’ve changed.
Corrupted Gear
World of Warcraft Patch 8.3 has given us Corrupted Gear. These armor pieces have been corrupted by N’Zoth’s influence. Our player characters can benefit from corruption because it empowers them. Corrupted Gear is used for a price. Our player characters can have too much corruption which can make them a target from minions of the Black Empire.
Corrupted Gear is a unique concept. The armor is different from Benthic gear which was obtained in patch 8.2. Players have complained about RNG in regards to the corrupted gear. It’s also frustrating that our gearing systems keep changing midway through expansions. Players don’t want to feel as if their hard work is obsolete by the next patch.

The Story
World of Warcraft Patch 8.3 feels disconnected from the rest of BFA. The expansion began with the Horde and Alliance at war. Both factions appealed to potential new allies to get them to join the conflict. There was awesome pay off for Jaina’s character, and fans were finally able to meet King Rastakhan and visit Zandalar. By patch 8.2 though, players were visiting Nazjatar. Fans were excited because Queen Azshara is a popular villain in WoW lore.
The problem is that each individual patch felt like its own expansion. We had so many plot threads it was difficult to keep up. There was the Horde and Alliance conflict, the Azeroth was dying plot (which hasn’t been resolved), Queen Azshara and Nazjatar, and the Old Gods and the Black Empire. To me, that sounds like four different expansions. The expansion should’ve ended with the Horde and Alliance defeating Sylvanas, but all we got was her poofing away and somehow popping up in Icecrown to dethrone the Lich King.
Nazjatar should’ve been a continent, not a zone. Queen Azshara is evil enough to be the villain of her own expansion. I would’ve loved to have done a dungeon or raid like the Culling of Stratholme where we went back in time to see Zin’Azshari in all of its glory. There are so many intriguing things about Nazjatar and Queen Azshara which could’ve been explored.
N’Zoth and the Black Empire should’ve been its own expansion. The Black Empire could’ve been a continent by itself. I would’ve loved to have seen a dungeon, raid, or scenario where we revisited the original Black Empire. We could’ve defeated all of the Old Gods again. We also could’ve seen more of N’Zoth’s twisted version of Azeroth.
Allied Race Death Knights
Patch 8.3 also added allied race and Pandaren Death Knights. Bolvar the Lich King has been adding new Death Knights to his ranks. Allied races must be unlocked in order to play them. They’re different from the core races. For example, the Vulpera use the same skeleton as the Goblins. So allied races don’t have a dedicated starter zone.
The starter zone for allied race Death Knights was disappointing. I thought they were going to have a quest line that introduced them to the game. They began their journey in Icecrown which is really cool. After turning in a few quests the game sent me on my way. Death Knights were so epic when they joined WoW in Wrath. Blizzard is making Death Knights and Demon Hunters normal classes in Shadowlands, but hero classes were so awesome due to the class fantasy. The storyline made them must play classes and I’m going to miss the hero class concept unless Blizzard is planning to introduce new hero classes in the future.
World of Warcraft Patch 8.3 Review

Yesterday, Limit won World of Warcraft race to world first in Ny’alotha. This marks the first win for a top North American guild in ten years. The last North American guild to win a world first race was Premonition in 2010. World firsts races involve the best guilds worldwide as they compete in Mythic level raids. Mythics are the hardest difficulty for high-level content in the game. Limitknocked European guild Method off its throne with this win. The ten-day race began on January 28. Problems ensued during the 12-boss raid when glitches were discovered during the race.
Several times Blizzard had to issue a hotfix for a glitch. At one point, N’Zoth the final boss of the raid was despawned for all players in the game no matter of difficulty. The glitch caused confusion and frustration for both the raiders and the viewers. Problems like these arise because Blizzard doesn’t test the Mythic raids on the public test realms. The concern is that the competing guilds could work out a strategy ahead of time and gain an advantage over their competitors.
Limit Wins World Of Warcraft Race To World First Continued.
World-first races have become must-viewing for eSports fans. Guilds who compete in the races have created partnerships with big-name companies. These races bring in thousands of viewers worldwide. Limit is a part of the eSports organization Complexity. Their stream brought in about 50,000 viewers.
In the post-game interview below, Limit’s raid leader Maximum discussed his decision to not play during the race. His guild tried a new strategy where he leads them from the sidelines. Ultimately, he felt this helped their team succeed. He wasn’t sure if this would change the strategies of the other teams, but he felt this strategy was good for his team.
Warcraft III Reforged disappointed fans. The game launched last week with bugs. Blizzard Entertainment promised fans an epic experience for the classic real-time strategy (RTS) game. The backlash from fans was swift and the game has a 0.5 review score on Metacritic. Players requested refunds in droves.
World of Warcraft was incredibly successful due to Warcraft III. The Warcraft series of games began in the 1990s and paved the way for WoW. When Blizzard announced they were updating Warcraft III fans were excited, but the reforged version of the game fell short. The iconic fight between Illidan and Arthas was terrible. Blizzard didn’t recreate the scene in CGI and the character’s movements were stiff. The game has so many problems that players are listing them in bullet points.
The Warcraft series of games helped make Blizzard the company it is today. So it’s disheartening that Blizzard wouldn’t show the same love and care toward Warcraft III. Blizzard no longer produces quality games. The company wouldn’t release a game if it didn’t match their standards. Now it seems that Blizzard has lost its way.
When Blizzard announced Warcraft III Reforged at BlizzCon 2018 the excitement was high. Their Starcraft Remastered had been well-received. Starcraft Remastered was praised for its graphics and commitment to the original. Blizzard had managed to produce a quality game that matched the companies standards. So things were looking good for Warcraft III Reforged.
Blizzard outsourced the game. Lemon Sky Studiosis a company in Malaysia that’s known for creating art assets for video games. They’ve worked with companies like Disney, Naughty Dog, Capcom, and Sega. In the YouTube video below, you can see examples of their work from 2018.
Warcraft III Reforged is more than artwork. By releasing this version of the game, Blizzard has erased the original one. Classic Warcraft III is no more. The original campaign data is gone, and players are angry.

Testing PureVPN For World of Warcraft

During my test, I played World of Warcraft on several servers. The servers included Japan, Canada, Argentina, and the United States. Japan is the server I tried first. World of Warcraft believed I was in Japan. When I logged into the game I only saw servers from Asia. I choose a random server and logged into the game.
Testing PureVPN continued.
I created a human hunter. It was about 2:00 am in Japan when I started playing. Seeing a server be so empty felt strange because it was daytime for me. It was also the first time I’ve seen other players with character names I was unable to read. The playthrough went smoothly, but I did have to wait longer for loading screens. PureVPN did cause my game to have a tiny bit of lag, but it wasn’t bad. I logged out of WoW and changed the VPN server to other countries. World of Warcraft still believed I was playing in Japan.
General Impressions
Besides trying to decide if PureVPN is the best VPN for WoW, I also tried other things. So I tested Netflix on PureVPN. I accessed Netflix on Streaming and on Internet freedom. Both times I received a message from Netflix that I couldn’t use their services because I had a proxy.
There were no major issues on social media websites like Twitter or Facebook. The server moved quickly. When I logged into my Amazon account the screen only showed me words. So I went back into the PureVPN admin panel and changed the country from Argentina to Canada. My Amazon account worked just fine after that.
Youtube worked fine on PureVPN’s servers. The videos didn’t have any lag. I didn’t have a chance to see if PureVPN is the best VPN for torrents. My trial was short so I didn’t get to try file-sharing or dedicated IP.

There were a few times where I had to wait a little longer for loading. PureVPN got the job done though. The service is good if you want to play WoW in a different time zone. I could see a player who has to play the game at night, choosing a server located in a different part of the world. It was exciting to play on a World of Warcraft server so unique from my own.
